"A Christmas Story" Hits the Stage

TBS will once again this year be giving us our “A Christmas Story” fix with a 24-hour marathon beginning Christmas Eve at 8 p.m.

But before that happens, lucky fans in Seattle will be able to see the movie in a whole new way—as a musical.

“A Christmas Story: The Musical!” will run December 9th through the 30th at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre. The show includes an original score from Broadway composing duo, Benj Paske and Justin Paul.

The show’s executive producer is none other than Peter Billingsley, who played Ralphie Parker in the movie. Billingsley has made a pretty good career for himself behind the camera, producing the films, “The Break Up” and “Four Christmases.” He also directed “Couples Retreat.”
