May Sweeps--What to Watch Wednesday and Thursday

Sweeps is now entering the home stretch, so here’s what’s coming up this Wednesday and Thursday (May 17th and 18th)…

Wednesday is a night of season finales. At 8 p.m. you can choose between the finales of “America’s Next Top Model” (8 PM, UPN/Midnight on WHCP), “Bones” (8 PM, FOX), and “The Amazing Race” (8-10 PM, CBS). Also at 8 p.m. on ABC, Sark returns to “Alias.” At 9 p.m. on ABC, “Lost” shows us what happened to Michael when he went after Walt and on FOX, “American Idol” expands to an hour to tell us who will be in the finale. At 10 p.m. it’s finale time again with “CSI:NY,” and “Law and Order,” which may be making some cast changes. “Invasion” airs its series finale (now that it’s been cancelled) at 10:01 p.m. on ABC. Let me just warn you now, you’re going to be mad at the ending. Also “Top Chef” (10 PM, Bravo) gives us part one of its finale.

Thursday we get even more finales beginning with the series finale of “That 70s Show” at 8 p.m. on FOX. Over on NBC, it’s the “Will and Grace” retrospective followed by the series finale at 9 with special guest stars Harry Connick Jr. and Kevin Bacon. At 9 p.m. on FOX, it’s the finale of “The O.C.” that will more than likely change the show forever. “CSI” (CBS) and “American Inventor” (ABC) will also wrap up their seasons at 9. Then at 10, it’s two more season finales with “Without a Trace” (CBS) and “ER” (NBC).

Coming up this weekend, more finales and disaster strikes…
