May Sweeps--Monday's Big Finales and Tuesday's Big Events

May sweeps officially ends Wednesday, but there’s some really good stuff before we get there.

Monday is full of season finales. On CBS, it’s the finales of “The King of Queens” (8 p.m.), “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (8:30 p.m. & 9:30 p.m.), “Two and a Half Men” (9 p.m.) and “CSI:Miami” (10 p.m.). On NBC, it’s the finale of “Medium” at 10 p.m. FOX gives us the two-hour finale of “24” at 8 p.m. On ABC, it’s the season finale of “Wife Swap” at 8 p.m., followed by the two-hour series finale of “Alias” at 9. MTV offers the season finale of “Punk’d” at 10 p.m. with victim Hugh Jackman.

Tuesday is about big events. On ABC, it’s “Stephen King’s Desperation” at 8 p.m., a three-hour TV movie about a small town possessed by evil starring Steven Webber and a majorly creepy Ron Perlman. On CBS, it’s the “41st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” at 8 p.m. NBC has part two of “10.5 Apocalypse” at 9 p.m. Of course, the biggest event of the night is on FOX as “American Idol” offers the final performance show at 8 p.m., followed by the season finale of “House” at 9. I also strongly encourage you to check out “Pepper Dennis” at 9 p.m. on the WB before it disappears for good.

Wednesday, we find out why Flight 815 crashed and we crown a new “American Idol”…
